Pelion Rise
Trainer Agreement
Version v1-2026-07-06. Accepted from your trainer profile; required before a reviewer can activate you.
1. Independent contractor
You provide training services as an independent professional, not as an employee of Pelion Rise. You control how you deliver your sessions. You're responsible for your own taxes — payouts run through your Stripe Express account, and Stripe issues your 1099-K where applicable.
2. Credentials — verify, never invent
You certify that every credential you submit (government ID, background check, SafeSport Trained Core, CPR/First-Aid/AED, and any optional liability-insurance certificate) is genuine, current, and yours. A reviewer verifies each item before you can be booked; misrepresenting a credential is grounds for immediate, permanent removal.
3. Safety & conduct
You agree to follow SafeSport standards at all times: sessions happen in public or observable training spaces, no one-on-one seclusion with a minor, no private social-media contact with athletes, and a parent or guardian may observe any session. Report any safety incident to the platform within 24 hours.
4. Insurance & administrative requirements
You are strongly encouraged to carry general/professional liability insurance appropriate for youth athletic instruction (an "Insured" badge appears on your profile once a reviewer verifies your certificate). You must keep your CPR/First-Aid/AED certification current — an expired certification automatically pauses new bookings until renewed. You are responsible for securing any permits a venue requires.
5. Payments, fees & payouts
Families pay at booking. The platform fee is 15% of the session price. Your payout (85%) is held by the platform and released after you check in on-site (GPS) and complete the session in the app. Late cancellations by the family inside 24 hours pay you the trainer share of 50% of the session price. If a family reports an issue within 48 hours, the payout freezes (or is reversed if already released) until a human resolves the report.
6. Cancellations & no-shows
Cancel as early as you can if you must — trainer cancellations always refund the family 100%, and repeated late trainer cancellations can pause your profile. If an athlete doesn't show, you may mark a no-show starting 15 minutes after the session start; you're paid for the reserved time and the family is told how to contest it.
7. Off-platform payments
Taking a family you met through Pelion Rise off-platform to avoid fees breaks the protection model for everyone — payments, GPS escrow, disputes, and insurance context all disappear. First instance is a warning; a repeat is removal.
8. Term
This agreement applies while your profile is listed. Either side may end it at any time; bookings already paid are honored or refunded under the cancellation policy. Version v1-2026-07-06 — your acceptance is timestamped on your profile.
